Upcoming Construction

Looking ahead at the next two weeks of construction on the new Children's & Women's Hospital project:

The second sequence of steel erection is nearing completion in Area 1 Floors 4-7, while detailing and installation of metal floor deck continue in Area 2 Floors 4-7.  The third sequence of steel erection, in Area 2, Floors 8-9 is expected to begin in early May.  The first concrete slab pour is scheduled for the week of April 21 on the second floor of Area 2. 

Concrete foundation walls are continuing in Areas 3 and 4, while other concrete pours for items such as grade beams, loading dock walls, and retaining walls, are ongoing in Areas 1 and 2.

Assembly of the second tower crane will begin the week of April 21, and the crane should be fully functional by the first week of May.  When complete, the crane will stand over 200 feet above street level.
